The Higher Diploma in Engineering Technology aims to produce graduates with the knowledge and understanding needed to make a significant early contribution to the engineering industry.

Through this programme,students will develop the intellectual abilities necessary to participate in contemporary engineering projects and the practical skills expected of an engineer.

Students will learn general transferable skills and personal attitudes necessary to enable them to make a valuable contribution throughout a successful career in the electronics and mechatronics industry or industries employing current technology. This includes opportunities for students to engage in life skills learning.

Throughout the course we work on simple projects such as these IOT devices connected to sensors.

Entry Criteria

Applicants must be aged 17 or older are only eligible to enter the Diploma with one of the following qualifications

  • successfully completed Auston’s Enhanced Foundation Programme; or
  • GCE ‘A’ Level with 2 passes; or
  • Higher National Certificate; or
  • Other Foundation Programmes (Case-by-Case Basis)

In addition to the above requirements, students must have IELTS 4.5 or Wall Street English Level 10.

Mature Candidates

Students who have at least 3 years of relevant work experience and may be admitted on a case by case basis – Minimum 23 years of age, and reference letters from past or present employers.

Internship Partners
